CBD 101

All You Need to Know About CBD

It seems like CBD is everywhere these days. At Jujubeet, we are approaching this trend from a wellness perspective and working to help educate our customers on what CBD is and how it can be incorporated into an overall health and wellness routine. After months of searching for the right CBD partner, we have recently started selling Two Cranes Botanicals CBD oils in our cafes. Read on to learn more about CBD and its benefits.

What is CBD (Cannabidiol, Cannabidolum) ?

In a nutshell, CBD is not THC and not Marijuana. Both are cannabinoids that are found within the plant, hemp, which is a strain of Cannabis Sativa. CBD is one of the most abundant therapeutic cannabinoids within the hemp plant that does not make you “high”.

CBD is the safe, non-addictive and non-psychoactive Phyto-cannabinoid. It works with your endocannabinoid system to help regulate your body systems to achieve homeostasis and overall well being. CBD is proven to have high levels of anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties. Medical studies have shown this powerful substance can aid in relief of anxiety, stress, sleep issues, pain, and inflammatory disorders. Used topically it has shown to help remedy eczema, acne, psoriasis, and other skin issues.

There are 113 other cannabinoids in the hemp plant. THC is the most popular cannabinoid known for its psychoactive effects.

What is the difference between CBD and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) ?

CBD info Two Cranes

While both properties are existing compounds in the cannabis plant, they are vastly different from one another.

  • CBD is widely known to have a wide scope of potential therapeutic benefits without the euphoric “high", which amounts to about 40% or more of the hemp plant.
  • THC is a psychoactive and intoxicating compound of the plant whereas CBD is non-intoxicating. In fact, CBD can actually counteract the effects of THC.

Will CBD Get You High?

No. CBD will not get you high and has very little known side-effects. There are only trace amounts of THC, less than 0.01% and our products have well below the legal limit of 0.3% THC.

What are adaptogens?

CBD and other super herbs found in nature help to:

  • Boost the immune system
  • Manage healthy weight
  • Increase physical endurance and mental focus
  • Reduce discomfort caused by poor health
  • Encourage balance in body systems
  • Combat stress

Adaptogens are found in nature, have been used in eastern healing methods for centuries, and assist in total body healing. They are body regulators, managing your hormones, adrenals, and stress response on a daily basis, helping you up or down, whichever is needed. CBD is an adaptogen. So is turmeric, Indian gooseberry, ginseng, certain mushrooms, and many more

    Who should take CBD?

Everyone. If you’re a mammal, then you can take CBD. However, age discretion is advised and we recommend consulting your healthcare provider for guidance.

CBD is used for treatment, healing, recovery, and prevention. It is known to benefit those who suffer from anxiety, stress, auto-immune related diseases, epilepsy, seizures, sleep disorders, recovery, inflammatory disorders, pain, and skin disorders.

full spectrum CBD grown in Colorado

What's the difference between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolates?

    • Full Spectrum = Full plant extract with a trace amount of THC under 0.3%.

This is the hemp extract in its most natural and richest form that contains the full cannabinoid spectrum of the plant. This includes most of the 113 cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other plant compounds that work synergistically with the body’s endocannabinoid system. This also means it includes a trace amount of THC (a cannabinoid) <0.3%.

Research supports full-spectrum provides a higher level of relief compared to isolates which is why our products are full-spectrum.

    • Broad Spectrum = Extract with no THC.

An array of cannabinoids minus the THC. Often the extract is put through an additional process to remove the THC. One method of creating broad-spectrum is adding cannabinoids and other components to a CBD isolate.

    • Isolate = Purest form of CBD.

Hemp extract is processed and stripped of all compounds outside of cannabidiol (CBD). All terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids, other cannabinoids are removed in this process. CBD is more powerful when working synergistically with the other cannabinoids and terpenes of the plant. Research shows that CBD alone is less beneficial than full-spectrum.

    Why Two Cranes and Attune?

Cranes have a symbolic meaning of happiness, longevity, wisdom and good health.  We're twins on a mission to bring just that to those we have the privilege to meet. "Attune" means to make harmonious and receptive.

We use a Single Source Farm in sunny Colorado! We know our source intimately as well as the cultivation process.  Our farmer uses the same organic cultivation methods throughout three farms in CO. Highest quality water and filtration system per the State of Colorado. Water rights and soil content are of the highest standards.

Our full-spectrum hemp extract includes a wide range of cannabinoids, phytocannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids, and other plant compounds that offer the highest amount of therapeutic benefits. Full-spectrum is proven to be more effective than CBD alone (isolate). We use gentle and supercritical extraction methods which helps to retain all of the goodness from the entire plant which proves to yield a richer and high CBD content hemp extract.

Our products are tested and verified. We double verify by testing with an ISO (International Organization of Standards) certified lab.
